The Maple Syrup Diet is a body cleansing routine that involves drinking a mixture of pure water, lemon juice, grade b maple syrup, and cayenne pepper for about 10 days.  Make this maple syrup diet drink fresh daily for best results.

Water

Use only pure water.  Yes we take our water for granted, but we shouldn’t.  Much of what we consider to be safe and pure water has chemicals like chlorine and fluoride in it.  While we know that chlorine kills bacteria in our water, we do not want it in our detoxifying drink.  To make this cleanse as effective as possible, use only pure filtered water.

Lemon Juice

Lemon juice has excellent detoxifying properties because of its high potassium content and adds a pleasant taste to the drink.

Grade B Maple Syrup

The drink requires that you use Grade B Maple Syrup.  Sugar is an important source of energy and the main sugar in pure maple syrup is sucrose which is very rich in nutrients.  Sucrose is more desirable than fructose because it is easily broken down during the metabolism process.  We recommend Pure Michigan Maple Syrup.  Do not use maple flavored syrup.  It needs to be real maple syrup.

Cayenne Pepper

Cayenne pepper contains beta carotene and is an excellent antioxidant that aids the body in removing free radicals.  Not only is it a popular food enhancer, it is a medicinal herb that can help in preventing ulcers is used as a pain reliever and is rich in vitamin A.  It helps open up your blood capillaries and improves the blood flow.
